Director of Partnerships and Impact
What’s your role at TDT?
Spanning partnerships, school engagement, comms, research and evaluation, my team raises the profile of the importance and impact of effective CPD on school culture, staff morale, retention and outcomes for children. We ensure TDT stays curious about the needs of the sector and responds in a way that is accessible, impactful and values driven.
Why is the work important to you?
Teachers do so much heavy lifting every single day to help give children the best possible start in life, in conditions that are challenging. I’m privileged to be part of helping leaders to create cultures where teachers feel valued and empowered.
What’s your career been like?
I’ve led on both end-to-end delivery and recruitment to CPD programmes for the last fifteen years, the last twelve specifically focused on serving teachers and leaders in state schools across the UK. Most recently, I was Partnerships Lead for Education Development Trust working with local and national partners to increase the reach and impact of collaborative school improvement, ECF and NPQ programmes. Before that, I was Programme Lead at Achievement for All, focused on SEND and disadvantage.
What do you do outside of TDT?
I have volunteered in various roles in the past, as a charity trustee, an advocate for children and young people in the care system and a social visitor for older people living alone. My main focus outside of work currently is my family, – doing my best to make sure my three teenage kids are on a good path and growing into great adults. I love going to see live music, camping, travelling reading but most of all being with my dog.
