Research and Evaluation Manager
What’s your role at TDT?
My role focuses on maximising the impact of teacher development and involves working across multiple projects at any one time. These may include gathering CPD insights from teachers and school leaders, engaging in research and evidence to support our organisational goals, and creating and analysing programme evaluations.
Why is the work important to you?
I’m passionate about developing strong, nurturing and supportive school cultures. It is only once these are in place can staff truly feel that their wellbeing is valued and they can be the best educators possible for our children.
What’s your career been like?
I worked for 16 years in primary education. 12 of which were in senior leadership leading multiple areas of school improvement including Pupil Premium, assessment, curriculum and staff development. I served as school principal for two and half years leading a large primary school with a resource provision for children with SEMH needs. I was also a First Aid for Mental Health trainer and trust wellbeing lead, for both adults and children.
What do you do outside of TDT?
I am Chair of Governors at a local primary school, specifically supporting on SEND and assessment which allows me to continue developing my understanding of the realities of school leadership.
Outside of work, my time is spent going to the gym, walking in the outdoors – usually with the dog in tow, visiting friends and generally plate spinning all of this with motherhood.
