Performance Development Summit Report 13th October 2020

Beth Greville-Giddings reports on our Performance Development Summit held virtually on October 13th 2020.

Done well, the appraisal process can be supportive, developmental and instil a culture of trust and growth across an organisation, however for many people, ‘performance management’ is something that at best is an inconvenience; the frantic hunting of last year’s targets and desperate consideration of what to ‘do’ for this year’s CPD, and at worst it can cause anxiety and burnout. The Teacher Development Trust Performance Development Summit brought together colleagues and experts from education and business to explore the evidence-base across different sectors and case-studies to show how performance development can be a force for good.
