The Teacher Development Trust is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation and Sutton Trust to help schools find the training and consultancy that will help them implement ideas from the Sutton Trust-EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit.
Today (Friday 25th January, 2013) the EEF announces an expanded and updated version of the Toolkit which synthesises hundreds of research studies to give schools clear messages about the most effective way they can spend their Pupil Premium funding. Where this spending can be supported by staff training then schools can now click directly from the Toolkit website through to the Teacher Development Trust’s GoodCPDGuide.com, our free national database of training, consultancy, events and resources. Each page of the Guide now features an easy to use summary of the key principles of effective CPD which have been drawn from international research studies. We have also published a helpful one-page guide to Making Good CPD Great.
Commenting on the new partnership, TDT Chief Executive David Weston said:
“We are very excited to be able to help schools locate and implement the most effective CPD to support their drive to reduce educational inequality. The Sutton Trust-EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit is now regarded by Ofsted and the DfE as a must-read for every school leader when making choices around their Pupil Premium spending. We are delighted to be working alongside these two prestigious organisations to help schools locate the training they need to implement the most effective interventions.”
In order to be listed as a Toolkit-linked entry on GoodCPDGuide.com, training providers must agree to comply with out code of practice, and agree to be subject to quality surveys which are conducted at random by a panel of academic and industry experts.
At today’s launch we are already listing nearly one hundred different courses, resources, events and services that are linked to the Toolkit. We look forward to receiving approaches from additional providers and to hearing recommendations from schools so that we can continue to expand this database.
