I create impactful learning experiences for teachers and leaders. This includes designing digital learning such as our online modules, continuous improvement of NPQs and TDT programmes. It also includes facilitating, delivery of our programmes and coaching. It also includes engaging with CPD-related research.
Why is the work important to you?
Supporting high-quality education for all pupils, and closing the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their more advantaged peers. Supporting teachers to continue learning and growing in the profession and increasing their self-efficacy.
What’s your career been like?
I spent 17 years in state secondary school education, working in a variety of middle and senior leader roles across both curriculum and pastoral. These included Head of Psychology, Head of Key Stage 5, Teaching and Learning, and most recently, Deputy Director of Sixth Form. I led the implementation of a number of teaching and learning initiatives throughout the school and completed an NPQSL on what psychology can tell us about the teenage brain and how this can be leveraged to support learning.
