CPD Excellence Hub project in Ipswich

In October, we were delighted to launch two new Teacher Development Trust CPD Excellence Hubs in Ipswich, Suffolk.

In partnership with the local EEF Research Schools, over the course of this academic year, every single school within the Ipswich Opportunity Area will be supported in identifying the needs of their workforce and developing their capacity and leadership for effective CPD. This will be complimented by the sharing of practice, growth of the local collaborative network and raising of awareness of the importance of professional
development for teachers and other education professionals.

TDT Expert Adviser, Andy Samways of Unity Schools Partnership, said…

“Growing out of a commission from the DfE’s Ipswich Opportunity Area Fund, this is an exciting venture and one which is extending and enriching the work of the two Research Schools. It comes at an exciting time as this month
also saw the first researchED in the east being held in the amazing surroundings of One Sixth Form College in Ipswich. After an inspiringkeynote from Baroness Estelle Morris, the day saw a fantastic lineup of
spe akers including national voices such as TDT CEO David Weston, Mary Myatt, Oliver Caviglioli, Tricia Taylor, Matt Hood, Catt Scutt and Gary Jonespresenting across the day alongside teachers and practitioners from the eastern region and locality itself. The atmosphere developed by the 200 delegates was great … and many a conversation started!”
