Although Teacher Development Trust are no longer starting new NPQ cohorts, we remain committed to maintaining a high-quality training experience for our existing participants. Find more information about dates, locations, and answers to frequently asked questions below or please refer to your NPQ participant handbook.
TDT is an ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted, 2024) Lead Provider of NPQs, with high satisfaction and pass rates as well as a reputation for a thoughtful, reflective approach to the frameworks. Our design principles recognise the centrality of people, culture, sensemaking and implementation to sustainable continuous improvement. We’re also very proud to work with a network of Delivery Partners who bring local expertise and context to our robust national programmes.
For participants on our final NPQ cohorts, please see our interactive map of Delivery Partner locations across England. If you move to a new location at any time during the remainder of your NPQ programme and need to transfer to a different Delivery Partner, please use this map to see where your programme is being offered. Please then contact the TDT Operations Team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org to discuss your options.
If you’re working on an NPQLTD or are otherwise responsible for leading professional development, you can find useful resources inside our new CPD Leadership Hub.

If this isn’t working, try the steps outlined below in our FAQ
Please contact the TDT Operations team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org if you need any support throughout your NPQ programme.
Your Delivery Partner is the local Teaching School Hub, Local Authority, or other training organisation you have applied with to complete your NPQ programme, and your Local Facilitator is the person(s) who is delivering your course for your Delivery Partner.
If you can’t attend a seminar or workshop for your NPQ programme then please follow the guidance in your Participant Handbook on how to catch up.
If you can’t find your Participant Handbook then please contact the TDT Operations team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org and they will be able to resend this to you.
If your TDT Online Learning login has stopped working then please follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:
If steps 1, 2 & 3 don’t work, then please contact the TDT Operations Team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org and they will be happy to assist you.
If you start an NPQ programme and then move to another school, you will still be able to continue your study. Please contact the TDT Operations team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org and they will be able to process this for you.
Please note: Your funding status for your NPQ programme is not affected when you move to another school.
If for any reason you would like to defer your place on your NPQ programme, please contact the TDT Operations team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org for support with this.
As TDT is ceasing delivery of NPQ programmes, your options to defer your place will be limited. You will be offered the option to either transfer to another lead provider to continue your NPQ programme (you can then discuss your options for deferral with your new lead provider), or to transfer to another TDT NPQ cohort if a suitable one is available to you.
If for any reason you would like to withdraw your place on your NPQ programme, please contact the TDT Operations team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org and they will be able to process this for you.
Please note: If you have a funded place on your NPQ programme, then you will not be able to apply for funding for the same NPQ programme again in the future if you withdraw from it.
Results are usually released around 3 months after an assessment window closes, once judging, internal and external moderation are completed. You will be informed of when to expect your results by the TDT Operations team ahead of your assessment window, but please don’t hesitate to email the team at npq@teacherdevelopmenttrust.org if you are concerned or have any questions.
When you pass your assessment, your results will be declared to the DfE, and they will provide a certificate for you. The DFE should release certificates approximately one month after your results are declared by TDT on the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) portal. More information about certificates will be provided by email after your assessment.
