TDT provides guidance and support around our version of Lesson Study, but it is a flexible model that is used by a number of schools and organisations in different ways. Some of these are shown here.

The National Education Trust held an event in November 2014 at Rosendale Primary School in South London. This describes the way that they are carrying out Lesson Study, with the support of the London Schools Excellence Fund (LSEF).

The School of Education at the University of Leicester promotes Lesson Study as a way of deepening pedagogical understanding, and an important professional development tool with a powerful focus on pupils’ learning and development needs.

These case studies were published on the National Strategies’ ‘What Works Well’ website. They share real examples of how learning and practice has improved through Lesson Study. They are available on lessonstudy.co.uk which has a number of other resources and tools.
