We’re very glad to share the second installment of the GoodCPDGuide Newsletter!

News

This month’s news from the GoodCPDGuide:

  • GoodCPDGuide providers recently took part in market research done by the Teacher Development Trust and other organisations on behalf of the Department for Education. The research was aimed at assessing CPD provision for implementing the new National Curriculum. Both the DfE and Teacher Development Trust were very grateful to the providers for their assistance in this valuable process.
  • A new round of the GoodCPDGuide Quality Assurance Audit is now underway. This is one of the methods we use to make sure we only list services of the highest quality. Six providers will have their services audited by an expert panel, who will assess everything from the quality of evidence behind their approach to the level of follow up support offered. We look forward to sharing the results in the New Year!
  • It’s been a bumper month for user reviews on the GoodCPDGuide. In the past month the number of user reviews on the site has almost doubled. More user reviews means greater transparency for everyone using the site: users can make better informed choices, while providers can better understand the impact their services are having. Keep them coming!

New Providers

As of this month the GoodCPDGuide now has over 2000 listings from more than 300 providers! Thank you to all our providers for continuing to list more and more of their services on the site.

We’re very glad to have welcomed the following new providers to the GoodCPDGuide this month:

Review of the Month

Congratulations to Tutor2U, whose course, The Best Business Lesson Ever (TBBLE), is the top rated course this month on the GoodCPDGuide. Tutor2U offer courses for teachers of economics, business studies, politics, sociology, law and more. One delegate said of TBBLE:

The new ideas for teaching can be used straight away and adapted to give them an indefinite shelf-life”.

Congratulations, Tutor2U!
